This is going to be a long one…
But Guys, if you are feeling stuck in ANY area of your life –
Keep Reading! 📚
There are 5 primary fears that hold you back from any goal.
It doesn’t matter the goal: Relationships, Employment, Finance or Health.
If you haven’t at least started taking steps in creating the life you want, chances are at least one of these fears are holding you back.
🤔 Let’s start off by taking some of the stigma out of fear then we’ll take a high-level overview of the 𝟓 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.
In subsequent posts, I’ll take a deeper dive into each one to help you understand where the fear comes from and how you can eliminate it from your life.
🎯 Men are supposed to be fearless. They are supposed to be the protector and the provider. Men are supposed to go to work every day with a smile on their face then come home at night and play with the kids and the wife.
🎯 Men must be strong and assertive.
🎯 They must do what they have to do in order to take care of business without any concern for themselves.
It’s what men 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 do. Without emotion or fear.
At least that’s what we’ve been taught. That’s how we’ve been programmed.
This idea of what a man should be has been passed down for generations.
Every day I watched my dad leave for work, actually I was still asleep when he went to work. It didn’t matter if he didn’t want to or didn’t feel like it. 😕
Even when he was suffering from a near fatal illness and doubled over in pain, he went to work.
Because that was what was expected of him. It’s what he had to do.
I looked up to my dad for this. He did it for his family with no concern for himself.
I am proud to say, I adopted a similar work ethic.
My dad is now retired in his mid-70’s and I asked him at one point what his greatest success was.
He looked at me and said, “you kids.”
While I do not believe he regrets how his life turned out, I am sure there are goals that have been left unfulfilled.
I have found this in my own life.
Growing up, I wanted to be an Academy Award Winning Actor. 🏆
I could see myself so clearly on the red carpet.
I even used to practice my acceptance speech, in my head, in my room in the basement.
But somewhere along the lines those ambitions became mere pipe dreams.
Simply put. 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫.
And it doesn’t just extend to life long ambitions. It extends to the seemingly trivial goals you set in life too.
Losing those few extra pounds. Asking for a raise. Being a better communicator in your relationship. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘐𝘵.
☝🏼 The fact of the matter is men have fears. It’s not talked about much because social norms have dictated what it believes a real man should be.
Fearless. Not Vulnerable. Strong at All times. Confident. Put all others above themselves.
Over the past 2 years, I have taken a deep dive into my own personal life and have identified 5 primary fears that have in one way or another held me back from achieving the goals I set out for myself. 🙇🏼
In addition, I have spoken to countless other men who feel like they have fallen short and can identify the primary reason for not obtaining their goals as one or more of these fears.
They are the 𝟓 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.
𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 – Seems kind of strange, right? Who could possibly fear success? But it’s a deep seeded fear that you may not even know it’s within you.
𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 – This is a one of the most common fears, one that will absolutely keep you stuck where you are.
𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 – There are primary schools of thought around this fear and it affects both rich and poor.
𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 – Few people like change, but the fear of it paralyzes men to the point where you actually begin to move backwards in your goals.
𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – This is the Mack Daddy of all fears. Nearly every other fear can be boiled down to this fear as a root cause.
It is so abundantly common for you to have these fears, but why?
They are not innate fears, they serve no purpose in survival.
They only keep you stuck and unable to achieve your goals in Finance, Employment, Relationships & Health.
They keep you from achieving your own Personal Happiness❗️
They are passed down to us, programmed within us.
But what if you could eliminate these fears? Stop them before they have a chance to get in your way?
